i heart Branson

I am a midwest girl. Even though we moved away from Missouri over ten years ago I still consider myself such and miss it dearly at times. Not so much the snow shoveling in the winter or the terrible humidity in the summer but definitely the baseball games and just the way people are there. But that's the beauty of vacation right? You visit at the perfect time of year when the weather is just the way you like it and your favorite sports/activities are going on.

Spring is the perfect time to visit St. Louis, you get the beginning of baseball season, the zoo, arch, parks and the weather is still cool enough to enjoy it. And right now, as we approach fall? Branson is the place to be.
Branson is such a unique place. On one hand you have tons of entertainment, shows, and bright lights. But when you turn the corner you see the beautiful midwest landscape of open lakes and tree covered hills. Oh and you can't mention Branson without bringing up the shopping. Their outlet strip is heavenly! The difficult part is trying to decide what all to do, there is just so much to choose from. Our last Branson trip (and my favorite) was in 2005 and consisted of two days out on the lake, a full day of shopping (plus a couple of stops on other days) and two shows (Yakov Smirnoff being my fav).

When I heard about the Fall in the City Package that Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel is offering I just had to share it with you all! For $309.50 a night you receive hotel accommodation, two tickets on he Showboat Branson Belle for dinner and a show (awesome!), two tickets to Silver Dollar City (and a souvenir book), plus a $25 hotel food and beverage credit. What a great little weekend getaway!

As a second option they also have a Shopping Package! This one is just $164 per night and includes hotel accommodation, a breakfast buffet for two plus a $25 dollar gift for any store at the Tanger Outlet Mall (which can surprisingly go a long way there). See, the shopping is so awesome that hotels dedicate entire packages to it!

The hotels themselves are really nice and located right in the middle of everything. The indoor pool is wonderful, especially during Fall (we don't see those in Florida very often).
So if your looking for a nice weekend getaway this fall keep ole Branson in mind!
